“Paula Curci puts the RAD in Radio for me!!! Curci is such an incredible Radio Host/Producer of artistic excellence, spiritual conscience and light, that has a gift to let her guests express themselves freely, and this is why I chose her show to be the first to World Premiere my new CD ‘Beyond Babylon’ last September just days prior to it’s international release with iTunes, Amazon and many other major distributors. I remember just hurrying to show up that day doing homework with my son Zion and getting dinner in Hofstra University Lounge. When we went on-air Curci’s questions were so deep and insightful about art and spirituality centering around the CD and an event I was having a few days later for Hurricane Sandy victims at Historic Babylon Town Hall, it was so refreshing. Curci even asked me to share a poem in a rare, spontaneous radio moment and I remember Andrew Latham of the band Mayfairgrin and Dadist Artist from England Khatia Shiuka were on my heart and mind at that moment so I recited one for them. I think my hurried vulnerability that Curci cultivated and shaped on-air is what made that episode stand out. To me, it’s everything radio should be today, like in classic radio days, when Hosts and DJ’s were Gourmet Chefs instead of big business pressured Fast Food Servers!
